Advantages/disadvantages of using formative instead of Eduphoria-Aware or Google Classroom for creating/auto-grading, etc?

Like all AI you do have to check for the correct response given and maybe tweak them a bit.

Too complicated. I am clueless on how to begin.

FYI-The video demonstrates embedding an audio file via Google Drive. That now appears to be obsolete. I can upload audio throughout Formative.

Formative is the ultimate best! I've loved to see how GoFormative has evolved and listened to teachers. If our schools weren't being highjacked by the right wing corporate politicians, this platform would be used more. Teachers have been too busy surviving the all on assault by union busting thugs. It's disgusting really that successful educational progress is drowned out by clowns and grifters. The adults should be ashamed.

Thank you Sarah for making a video that helps show my colleagues how Formative actually works in the real world. This illustrates how you can run class in person or online or in a hybrid situation. It helps highlight why Formative is such a BOSS educational technology. It is truly a game changer in helping teachers regain their sanity. I wish more teachers would take the time to learn it. It only takes a few minutes using templates.

Formative is the STATE OF THE ART educational tool. Hands down. I've been using them way back when it was just two dudes creating this amazing product after their work hours. David Kwan back in 2016 helped me learn what GoFormative was and I was simply blown away. There was another imitator called Spiral but it quickly fell to the wayside because they didn't have a David Kwan out there who listened to all of us teachers. Mind you that this was a huge game changer way ahead of its time. Now, it is just finally beginning to be understood and used in the way it was intended. Wow, there has been a ton of growth...I'm so proud of Formative...

This is one of the BEST ways to use Formative. No more being held hostage by the poor interface of Google Classroom or even worse the commercial LMS products out there. She covers all of the details about having monitors and what the teacher sees and what the students see. This is why Formative is the best!

This is great! - and in the right direction. Can we have a Leaderboard after each question, like Quizizz or Kahoot, so that the learning experience for the students in this mode won't be boring?

The bundles are great but it’s helpful to have individual questions like Edulastic does. There should be a choice to click for bundles and a bundle for question banks. Some want to just make their own tests with different questions from different bundles.

Is there a way to unlock sections one at a time? I know I've struggled with students wanting to move though an entire activity as quickly as possible, while I want them to focus on one section at a time, then debrief. Thanks!

Is there a way to make a quiz that randomly pulls questions from a question bank?

Could each section be graded separately? For example, Section 1 is on verbs and section 2 is on punctuation. I want each section to be graded separately with its own grade/percentage/statistics. Let me know.

in regards to the color overlay...is there a way for me to add a reading passage as the teacher and have the students use a highlighter to identify certain words?

Should be able to choose students to be able to send the same messages. They need encouragement asap!

Also, I really appreciate the ability ask questions within a video. I do have a couple of suggestions on this. 1) Edpuzzle has a rewatch button which will loop the video segment that the question is based on. This feature really is a must because it's a foolproof way for students to make sure they are viewing the part of the video that relates to the question if there are more than just 2-3 questions within the video. 2) I tried to to get ahead of this limitation by putting time stamps in my questions, however I noticed that students do not see the time on the progress bar when they are actually watching the video. This led to students putting the answer to the following question and not the question that was being asked.

Wondering if you identified the issue where it appeared to mark one of the answers as wrong (United States, Mexico, Canada) even though it should have marked it correct [At the 15:57 Mark]? I was having the same issue with a question on one of my assignments.

Brilliant! Formative keeps getting better and better! I'm old enough to remember your first iterations in 2015... Thanks to David Kwan and others I became a convert to Formative/GoFormative.
